On 20th April Audley End Estate hosted a Walk for Cure Parkinson’s. This was the idea of Louise and Richard Newman as they have numerous friends, acquaintances and family members who suffer from Parkinson’s and wanted to show their support for research into finding a cure for this condition. With the support of all the Audley End Estate Team, Louise and Richard invited a group of supporters to walk around the Estate to help raise funds for their chosen charity, Cure Parkinson’s. There were two route options, the longest being a fifteen mile walk with young and older participants, but mainly those north of 60, as well as a number of walkers with Parkinson’s. More than 70 people took part and the majority completed the full route. The objectives were to raise awareness, show support and gather some donations with an initial target of £10, ooo, but we were overwhelmed with support and currently the total stands at nearly £40, ooo.

Louise and Richard would like to thank everyone who supported this event and made it a huge success.
