Introduction
Audley End Estate comprises 6,500 acres in a rural setting near Saffron Walden, Essex.
There are approximately 500 acres of amenity and sporting woodland. The rest of the land is primarily arable farmland, farmed in-hand or let on agricultural tenancies.
The Estate also encompasses an 18-hole golf club, a miniature railway, a selection of residential properties, several sporting rights and many other diversified lettings that are commonplace on a rural Estate. It even boasts its own airfield.
A dedicated team of people manage the Estate, many of whom have worked here for over 35 years and some who are second-generation employees.
Audley End House and Gardens are now owned and run by English Heritage.
